介绍：The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends the first dental exam to be no later than the age of 1. During an infant oral exam, we will examine oral and dental tissue for proper development and review with you various topics such as oral hygiene, diet, trauma prevention, and oral habits.

Once a child is mature enough to sit for the dentist, the visit will typically comprise of an exam, dental cleaning, tooth polishing, and fluoride treatment. Depending on the child’s age and specific needs, Dr. Alice may prescribe x-rays that are appropriate for detection of cavities and other potential problems that may be present (see x-ray section on our website).

While our experiences have demonstrated that most children behave better when they undergo dental treatments by themselves independently, we welcome parents to stay in the treatment room and observe during exam and cleaning appointments.
