Job title: Mandarin summer camp teacher
Location: Manhattan, NY
Work schedule: various two week increments during period June 27-August 5 (6/27-8/5)
Hours: 8:30am － 4pm Monday - Friday每周一至周五

Position summary:

The summer camp teacher should have an understanding and commitment to the vision of the language immersion model. He/She must possess an excellent command of Mandarin and interest in working with young children.

Major responsibilities:
· Develop lesson plans based on themes incorporating art, music, drama, science, culture and geography
· Use various skills for helping children develop a second language
· Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to engagement, learning and enjoyment
· Encourages students to learn and behave appropriately in class
· Guides the learning process toward the achievement of goals, establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects
· Communicate progress of students with parents
· Employs a variety of instructional strategies, inclusive of immersion techniques, and instructional media


Qualifications:
· Native speaker of Mandarin流利中文
· Educational background and interest in education有教育背景及经验者为佳
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Excellent organizational and classroom management skills
