Chelsea gallery specializing in American and Asian contemporary painting is looking for a qualified art gallery assistant candidates to fill an entry-level position. Please read carefully, and please do not apply to this position if you do not meet our qualifications below-

This position is perfect for recent BFA graduates (January 2017). This is an excellent opportunity for an individual seriously interested in pursuing a career in the contemporary art field. You will gain a lot of practical knowledge and a firm understanding of how a gallery is run.

A desirable candidate will possess:
· Excellent communication and writing skills
· Chinese (Mandarin) speaking necessary
· Design software skills necessary- InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
· Computer Literacy necessary- Mac OS10
· Prior experience in an art or business related field helpful
· Initiative, and ability to work efficiently and independently
· A passion for learning the gallery business and for the arts
