Front Desk Agent(Full/Part Time)
Job Description Overview
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for assisting guests with all front office-related functions in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner that maintains high standard of service and hospitality, in accordance with standard policies and procedures.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greet guests warmly and perform check-in/check-out/registration procedures
- Answer incoming calls within 3 rings with an appropriate greeting and telephone etiquette
- Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests
- Maintain knowledge of current events, activities, dining and entertainment in and around the
hotel's neighborhood and surrounding areas
- Maintain composure under pressure and resolve any guest conflicts with empathy and
efficiency, with the goal of guest satisfaction
- Direct Bell Person to escort guest and transport their luggage to the room
- Responsible and accountable for bank and cash-handling
- Run daily reports and logs, identifying and handling any special requests
- Post charges and adjustments to guest accounts as required
- Review folios, accounts, and charges with guests during the checkout process
- Handle overbooked or walked in guests
- Upsell room categories, under various circumstances. Promote other services of the hotel
- Manage incoming packages and mails and deliver to appropriate departments or guests
- Maintain cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area, common areas and general upkeep
of the property
- Pass on with previous and following shifts
- Front Desk agent will be trained at Reservation, and can be placed at Reservation if needed
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree is preferred.
- Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends, and holiday shifts, if necessary.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of hotel PMS system preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required
- Strong knowledge and command of the English language. Knowledge of at least 1 other
language is a plus.
- Customer service experience required; previous hotel experience is preferred
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs
Reservations Agent(Full/Part time)
Job Description Overview
The Reservations Agent is responsible to handle all reservations, inquiries, and cancellations in a courteous, efficient, and detail oriented manner while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Process reservations by e-mail, telephone, via travel agents, and/or through the central reservation system
- Confirm modify/ cancel reservations according to the policy of the hotel
- Proactively approach travel agents (traditional and online) and management for selling rooms
- Must know all hotel preferred sales partners and distribution channels and all corresponding policies
- Maintain composure under pressure and resolve any guest conflicts with empathy and efficiency, with the goal of guest satisfaction
- Be aware of current rates and packages of the hotel, Have a clear understanding of all hotel amenities and services as well as policies and procedures
- Handling high volume incoming phone calls with an appropriate greeting and telephone etiquette
- Managing group reservations and inventory, tracking occupancy statistics and current in house status to reach maximum occupancy, and compiling tracking reports
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree is preferred.
- Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends, and holiday shifts
- Excellent computer skills including programs such as Word and Excel
- Have a proactive approach and be willing to assist as needed
- Strong knowledge and command of the English language. Knowledge of at least 1 other language is a plus.
- Customer service experience is a must. Sales experience is preferred. Previous hotel experience is preferred.
