Kongzui (English translation: Maximum Opening)

Location:
On the radial palmar aspect of the forearm, on the line joining LU 5 and LU 9, 7 cun above the transverse crease of the wrist.
定位：前臂前区，腕掌侧远端横纹上7寸，尺泽和太渊连线上。

Classification:
Xi-Cleft point of the Lung Meridian.
特性：郄穴

Indications:
• Acute hemoptysis (coughing up blood), bleeding hemorrhoids, epistaxis (nosebleed), cough and asthma
• Sore throat
• Febrile diseases without sweating
• Pain in the forearm
主治：
• 急性咯血，痔疮出血，鼻衄，咳喘
• 咽痛
• 热病无汗
• 前臂痛

Functions:
Descends and regulates Lung Qi, stops bleeding, clears heat.
功能：理气降逆，止血，清热。

Needling:
Perpendicular insertion .5 - 1.0 cun.
操作：直刺0.5-1.0寸。

Chinese Name:
Lieque (English translation: Broken Sequence)
中文名称：列缺。

Location:
On the radial margin of the forearm, superior to the styloid process of the radius, 1.5 cun above the transverse crease of the wrist.
定位：前臂，腕掌侧远端横纹上1.5寸，桡骨茎突上方。

Classification:
Luo-Connecting point of the Lung Meridian
Master Point of Ren Meridian (couple with KID 6)
Command point of head and neck
特性：络穴，八脉交会穴（列缺配照海），头项寻列缺。

Indications:
• Head and neck problems: migraines (central and one-sided), headaches caused by exogenic pathogens, neck rigidity, facial paralysis, toothache, sore throat, cough, asthma, nasal problems.
• Urogenital system problems: pain in the penis, hematuria, spermatorrhea.
• Abdominal distention
• Weakness of the thumb and index finger.
• Master point - pair with KID 6: genitourinary and gynecological problems
主治：
• 头项疾患：偏头痛，外感头痛，颈项僵直，面瘫，牙痛，咽痛，咳喘，鼻病
• 泌尿生殖系统疾病：阴茎疼痛，尿血，遗精

Jingqu (English translation: Channel Canal)
中文名称：经渠

Location:
On the radial palmar aspect of the forearm, in the depression between the styloid process of the radius and the radial artery, 1 cun above the transverse crease of the wrist.
定位：前臂前区，腕掌侧远端横纹上1寸，桡骨茎突和桡动脉之间。

Classification:
Jing-River point of the Lung Meridian
特性：经穴。

Indications:
• Cough, asthma, chest pain, sore throat
• Wrist pain
主治：
• 咳喘、胸痛、咽痛
• 腕痛

Functions:
Descends Lung Qi and stops wheezing and cough.
功能：降逆止咳平喘。

Needling:
Perpendicular insertion .3 - .5 cun. Keep clear of the radial artery. Do not moxa.
操作：直刺0.3-0.5寸。避开桡动脉。禁灸。

Chinese Name:
Taiyuan (English translation: Great Abyss)
中文名称：太渊

Location:
On the radial end of the transverse crease of the wrist, where the radial artery pulsates.
定位：腕掌侧远端横纹桡侧端，桡动脉搏动处。

Classification:
Yuan-Source point of the Lung Meridian
Shu-Stream point of the Lung Meridian
Converging point of Vessels
特性：肺之原穴，输穴，八会穴之脉会。

Indications:
• Cough with a large amount of phlegm, asthma with weakness
• Vascular problems: acrotism (absence or imperceptibility of the pulse); headache; hemiplegia; cold, pain and weakness of the lower extremities
• Wrist pain
• Hiccups
主治：
• 咳嗽痰多，咳喘无力
• 脉道疾患：无脉症；头痛；半身不遂；下肢痿软。
• 手腕痛
• 呃逆

Functions:
Tonifies Lung Qi and Yin, resolves phlegm, descends Lung Qi, tonifies Gathering Qi, influences the pulse.

Yuji (English translation: Fish Border)
中文名称：鱼际

Location:
In the depression behind the thenar eminence of the thumb, about the midpoint of the palmar side of the thumb, on the junction of the red and white skin.
定位：手外侧，第一掌骨中点赤白肉际处。

Classification:
Ying-Spring point of the Lung Meridian
特性：荥穴

Indications:
• Asthma
• Sore throat, fever, hoarseness
• Cough, hemoptysis (coughing blood)
主治：
• 咳喘
• 咽痛，发热，失音
• 咳嗽，咯血

Functions:
Clears Lung Heat, benefits the throat.
功能：清热利咽。

Needling:

Shaoshang (English translation: Lesser Metal)
中文名称：少商。

Location:
On the radial side of the thumb, .1 cun distance from the corner of the nail bed.
定位：大拇指桡侧，指甲根角侧上方0.1寸。

Classification:
Jing-Well point of the Lung Meridian
特性：井穴

Indications:
• Sore throat, cough, epistaxis (nosebleed)
• Fever
• Coma, manic disorders
• Numbness at fingertips
主治：
• 咽痛，咳嗽，鼻衄
• 发热
• 昏迷，癫狂
• 指端麻木

Functions:
Expels exterior and interior Wind, benefits the throat and clears Heat, resuscitates.
功能：祛外风，息肝风，利咽，清热，醒神

Needling:
Insert obliquely .1 cun towards upper direction, or prick the point to bleed.
操作：向上斜刺0.1寸，或点刺出血
