We are seeking an experienced, responsible, creative person to manage a growing freight forwarding operations team focused on the e-commerce shipping for our new branch in NJ
Air/Ocean import and export daily works: -Ensur freight and documentation is properly and completely handled -Understand address and resolve issues that arise in day-to-day operations -Oversee all services and procedures and implement improvements as necessary. -Setting up operational rules and ensuring freight team follows all related rules -Guide the OP team for timely and proper quotation to customers -Ensure that all customers receive timely updates regarding the progress of their shipments. -Manage claims and lead to solution -Develop new vendors and maintain relationships with existing vendors and participate in rate negotiations -Potentially Hire, train, manage, guide and motivate staff; promote culture of teamwork and exemplary customer service. -Establish and monitor cost control programs, including budget development, monthly P&L review, and cost analysis.
Requirements: -At least 6 years freight forwarding and 2 years in management experience. -Understanding of freight forwarding services and modes of transportation. -Attention to detail, deadline-oriented, strong project management, analytical skills, leadership, multi-task and team building skills. -With positive attitude, able to work under pressure and excellent problem-solving skills. -Computer literate; must be able to create and generate reports. -Proven experience in similar transportation industry-related companies. -Bilingual : Chinese is a plus -Competitive salary, benefits and opportunities for development.
