Rumpus Inc. is looking for a motivated and attention oriented Apparel sampling and Production intern / Assistant. This is a full time paid internship with the potential to turn into a full time role once trained and proved to be the perfect candidate. This role would be perfect for students or graduates who want to get into fashion production. You will learn everything from sampling to production of garments. You will have the opportunity to work with New York’s most renowned high end and designer labels. Please note this job takes place in a factory environment in the heart of Garment District.

Duties will include:
- Manage inhouse sampling orders in a timely manner
- Manage production orders in a timely manner
- Check all contents of techpacks ie. Trims and accessories needed for each job
- Resolve problems across sampling and production ie. Fabric and trim shortage
- Quality Control
- Daily status update of jobs in work in factory
- Coordinate shipments of samples and production garments
- Track Inventory
- Maintain work area

Requirements:
- Available Mon-Fri 10am-6pm (otherwise discussed)
- Eager to learn and is self motivated with a positive attitude
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Programs
- Basic knowledge of Garment Construction
- Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills
- Must be detail oriented
- Can multi task in a fast paced environment
- Chinese proficiency is a plus
