JOB TITLE: Bilingual Purchasing/ Procurement Manager REPORTS TO: COO Purpose for the Position: The bilingual purchasing/ procurement manager supervises all the purchasing activities in the organization. He/she needs to ensure that the hotel gets the best pricing for the best products or services. Prior work experience in a trading company is highly preferred.
Salary: DOE (Depends on experience) Essential Responsibilities: 1. Source products, materials and obtain competitive quotations and lead times 2. Identify ideal suppliers based on quality, cost and reliability 3. Price negotiation 4. Competitively bid all recurring purchases regularly, ensuring the lowest available pricing. 5. Follows up with vendors regarding delivery status of products 6. Ensure that all purchases have proper approvals and all orders are placed and received in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures 7. Manage relationships with hotel suppliers 8. Prepare month end and ad hoc reports in an accurate and timely manner
Qualifications for Purchasing Manager 1. Strong understanding of the market conditions and trends 2. Positive and professional demeanor 3. Exceptional interpersonal and social skills to build a good rapport
